Real Carriage Doors are built to stringent quality requirements. Our solid wood doors are built to last. Our standard details and options already leave our competitors in the sawdust, but if you desire quality a notch above, choose from our Construction Upgrades below:
Add the finishing touch: upgrade your entry or carriage door with Custom Glazing. For thermal protection, choose insulated glass or our WarmDoor(tm) upgrade. As with our standard single pane glass, insulated units are tempered for your safety.
Thicker doors speak of quality and integrity. For an extra stout door, RCD offers thickness upgrades to 2-1/4" or 2-1/2". Thickness upgrades accentuate the beauty of a solid wood door. Custom thicknesses are available.
Choose the WarmDoor(tm) Upgrade to meet the 2009 Federal Energy Tax Credit requirements (available tax credit is 30% product cost, up to max. $1,500). We do a custom analysis of your Real Carriage Door and apply the necessary upgrades.

Available in a variety of hardwoods, square pegs highlight the structural connections of a door while strengthening the joint. Choose a contrasting color for big visual impact; a like color for subtlety.
Metal and wood are a time-tested combination of materials. Looks for doors can range from ultra-modern galvanized steel to hammered and weathered steel or copper.
Any Real Carriage Door style can be built out of green, Reclaimed Douglas Fir. This reclaimed wood has a significant amount of character, exemplified by an old time-worn patina.
Note: Actual distress amounts will vary depending on available wood.
Real Carriage Door Company builds with a variety of specialty woods. Ask about our wood species upgrades including: Sapele Mahogany, Spanish Cedar, and White Oak. Our standard woods are Vertical Grain Douglas Fir, Red Oak, and Alder.
