1. Mullion: A vertical or horizontal member dividing panes of glass/lite(s).

2. Mull Post: The vertical component between the door and sidelight(s).

3. Jamb: The vertical and horizontal portion of the frame where the door is secured.

4. Sticking: The detail around the perimeter of each glass pane, securing the glass in place

5. Swing Cover: The flap on an entry set that covers the cylinder/keyhole.

6. Entry Hardware: Hardware components, including a latch and locking mechanism, to lock the door.

7. Grip Handle: The portion of the entry set that you grab vs knob or lever.

8. Exterior Casing: The trim around the door that covers the jamb (can also be interior)

9. Transom Sash: A glass component installed above the door

10. Mull Cover: The horizontal component between the door and transom.

11. Sidelight Sash: A glass component installed on one or both sides of a door.

12. Lite(s): The glass portion of the door designed to allow light in.

13. Rail: The horizontal structural component of the door frame – framing the panels, lite(s), and mullions.

14. Stile: The vertical structural component of the door frame – framing the panels, lite(s), and mullions.

15. Mid Stile: A vertical structural component of the door frame between panels.

16. Panel: The middle component of the door design – typically flat, raised, or tongue and groove.

17. Sill: The bottom component of the door system.
